Day 9 – In Everything Give Thanks Challenge

Day 9 of the #InEverythingGiveThanksChallenge

I’m posting a little later than usual because we have had a full (but wonderful!) day. πŸ™‚ Some of the things I have been thankful for today are …

1. The opportunity to sing with my family to a group of super sweet old folks! 😊

2. Sound equipment

3. Joyful old people. πŸ₯° I have decided today that my goal is to be one of those if the Lord allows me to reach a ripe old age. 😁 (As well as working on being a joyful person in the time that He has given me now!)

4. Getting to visit with my great aunt this afternoon.

5. The breathtaking pink sky we saw this evening on the drive home.

β€œThe heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.” -Psalm 19:1

6. A pretty new journal! βœπŸ»πŸ“–

7. Finding stuff on the sale rack at our health food store that I can use! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

What are you thankful for today?

β€œOh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard, Who keeps our soul among the living, and does not allow our feet to be moved.” -Psalm 66:8, 9

Today I am thankful for –
    1. Receiving LOVELY mail!!! I feel so showered by my heavenly Father’s love lately as I have received some surprise notes from dear ladies that have each had a special bit of needed encouragement!β™₯
    2. Beautiful reminders shared in a sister-friend’s note that I received todayβ™₯ from Be Still, My Soul.
“In every change, He faithful will remain…
Be still, my soul, thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as He has the past.
    Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul, the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.”
    3. Avocados. One of my favorite foods!πŸ˜‹
    4. A reminder from Isaiah 55:10-11…β€œFor as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
    5. The truth + comfort of Isaiah 41:3…”For the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, “Fear not: I will help thee.”β™₯

β€œBlessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation…

2.) that times of sorrow and tribulation train us and equip us to comfort others with the same comfort we’ve received!

…that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭1:3-4‬ ‭‬‬

3.) for a successful run to town today! πŸ™ŒπŸ»βœ¨ Found exactly what I went in looking for which is a HUGE praise!!

4.) for God’s peace that passes all understanding!
