Day 16 – In Everything Give Thanks Challenge

Today I am thankful for…

1. ”Though the LORD is on high, yet He regards the lowly; but the proud He knows afar off.” -Psalm 138:6

What an amazing thought…that the Almighty God of the universe cares for and looks upon those who will humble themselves!

2. A great piano lesson with one of my students. 🎹🎶

3. A safe trip to town and back.

4. A nap and some other things that helped my headache. 😌

5. The fun I had redecorating my room! 😁

What are the things you are thankful for today?

“And in his upper room, with the windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.” -Daniel 6:10

  1. Happy Tuesday!!🤗 Today I’m thankful for –
    1. That Jesus invites us to be His FAMILY!!!❤️ “And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.” (Mark 3:34-35)
    2. That He has such mercy on the lowly and afflicted! Today I read the story in Mark 3:1-5 of the man in the synagogue with the withered hand and how Jesus healed him. “Who remembered us in our lowly state, for His mercy endures forever…” (Psalm 136:23)
    3. A sweet sisters’ visit with with my sister, sister-in-law, and smiley little niece this afternoon!🥰
    4. Being so blessed to live in the country!🤗🍂
    5. The DAILY blessing of good food!! Wow!! Such a daily necessity that He PROVIDES, and yet I so often take for granted. Tonight we enjoyed a scrumptious meal of Pepper Steak with rice. And this morning, was Apple Crisp.😋 “The eyes of all look expectantly to You, and You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of EVERY living thing.” (Psalm 145:15-16) So very amazing!!

    1. Thank you Martha Joy for the reminder of #4! It is definitely a blessing living out away from the business of the city. Our place is completely surrounded by trees and is so peaceful at night.

    1. Eyes that can see! I read this verse in Proverbs today, “The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: the LORD gives light to the eyes of both.”
