Day 17 – In Everything Give Thanks Challenge

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful week so far. It’s Day 17 of the In Everything Give Thanks Challenge! 🤗

I forgot to mention this on Monday, but we are halfway through this challenge! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I have been so encouraged by the In Everything Give Thanks Challenge this year – not only by being more aware of counting my daily blessings from the Lord, but also by seeing the things you all are thankful for! 😊

Today I am thankful…

1. For the verses in Psalm 139 that we looked at during family worship last night: “O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.” -Psalm 139:1-3

2. That the Lord put it on my dad’s heart years ago to start doing family worship each day. It is such a blessing to worship and look at God’s Word together as a family!

3. For a productive day!

4. For the beautiful view in the field across from our driveway.

5. Christmas material! (That I hope to turn into a Christmas quilt. 😊🌟☃️)

What are you thankful for today?

“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.” -Colossians 4:2

1.A special Fall Sister Photoshoot!! One more Fall Bucket List item officially checked off the list!🎉 We were so happy to take advantage of a gorgeous location down our local dirt road.🍁
    2. God using my sister to give me a much needed pep-talk.🤗
    3. That He is near to all who call upon Him and KNOWS what we need and understands us perfectly.♥ “”The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.” Psalm 145:18
    4. Reminders from 1 John 1:7,9 – “But if we walk in the LIGHT as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we confess our sins, He is FAITHFUL and just to forgive us our sins and to CLEANSE us from all unrighteousness.” Praise the Lord!🙌
    5. A good, full, fun work day!

  2. I am thankful for…

    1. Prayer! “I have called upon you, for You will hear me, O God; incline Your ear to me and hear my speech.” -Psalm 17:6
    2. These verses and promises about the new heavens and earth that are coming:
“Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” -2 Peter 3:13
“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.” -Isaiah 65:17 That verse always blows my mind… why do we worry, fear, covet, and allow ourselves to be consumed with this life when a new earth is coming that will be SOOO much better than this world… so much better that we won’t even THINK about this earth!! It is going to be PERFECT!!
    3. An afternoon snack! 🥣
    4. The excitement of seeing what’s on the menu for this week. 😋
    5. Learning new techniques to solve hard Sudoku puzzles!
