Thankful Thursday – Week 1

Happy first Thankful Thursday post! 🤗 This is where you share a few (or as many as you want to!) of your thankfuls from the past week. 😊 My highlights from Week 1 were:

  1. The gift of music 🎶
  2. That we are able to gather and worship God freely without fear of persecution.
  3. House shoes that not only keep my feet warm, but are also a reminder of the dear relative who gifted them to me and has since passed away.
  4. Some volunteer kale that I’ve been enjoying in my scrambled eggs each morning.
  5. My cleaning clients – they are the best!
  6. My dad and brothers’ help with knowing what kinds of things to buy for my car’s upkeep.
  7. The privilege to be able to come before the throne of God in prayer! 🙏🏻
  8. That I can run to Jesus and find rest. ❤️
  9. Creating new memories with my Pap and Nana – watching Little House on the Prairie with them before bed.
  10. A discussion with a dear elderly friend about how amazing God’s Word is, and seeing her hunger and thirst for it.

Since I’m already working on memorizing 1 John, I decided to just copy the Scripture verses this time. I write them down every day at the end of my list, and it’s been so encouraging to reflect on God’s goodness and how all of these blessings come from HIM! -Amanda S.

Is anyone else doing the Scripture Memorization plan, or reading or writing the verses?

Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thankfuls from the first week! 😊

“Praise the LORD! Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.”

Psalm 106:1

  1. Just wanted to make a note that if you ever get behind a day or two on writing your thankful list, it’s is totally okay to catch up on that the next day! I know some days can be busier than others and we forget; I already had to do that one day this week. 🙂
