Thankful Thursday – Week 3

This month has just flown by, and we are now in the homestretch of the challenge. 🙂 Here are my highlights from Week 3:

  1. Safe travels for my parents
  2. Some family history discoveries that my dad made on his trip.
  3. An electric washer (thankful we don’t have to wash clothes by hand anymore! 😅)
  4. Video chats, phone calls, and voice messaging with friends.
  5. That God provides His children with “something better”. (Hebrews 11:40)
  6. An informative lecture about iPhones and the declining U.S. birthrate. 😱
  7. Making a new friend in the chat box during the lecture, and finding out that we both have done the Spring100 walking challenge! 😊
  8. Black Friday sales that allow me to get things for my health for a good price.
  9. My sister who took care of dinner prep last night all by herself – thanks Sarah! ❤️
  10. My brother, Jared, on his birthday. 🥳

Here is a question for this week, inspired by the Psalm 69 passage in the memorization plan (“I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.” Psalm 69:30):

What is one of your favorite songs to praise the name of God with?

  6. One of my favorite songs to praise God with is Come Thou Fount. I love the first verse:

    “Come, thou Fount of every blessing;
    tune my heart to sing thy grace;
    streams of mercy, never ceasing,
    call for songs of loudest praise.
    Teach me some melodious sonnet,
    sung by flaming tongues above;
    praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it,
    mount of Thy redeeming love!”
