    1. Thanks Amanda for pointing us towards thankfulness again this year! I did memorize the verses. Some were easy to put to memory and others were a little more challenging but they were all good to think on. I completed all 30 days of the challenge and here are some things I was thankful for during the last week.

      1. God’s provisions that I often take for granted. (food, clothing, shelter…)
      2. The joy of grandkids!🥰
      3. Every new day God gives me to live.
      4. A car that gets good gas mileage.🚙
      5. The joy I have in Christ that is not dependent on my circumstances.
      6. A hardworking husband who is trying to get our house finished.🏠
      7. My son’s first deer of the season.🦌
      8. My Fiesta dishes.
      9. The confidence we have in Christ, and
      10. God’s promises to hear our prayers. (1 John 5:14)🙏🏻

    2. Thank you SO much for hosting the challenge, Amanda! (And, wow! What a fun giveaway!!) I very much enjoyed the challenge and am thankful to have written my list of 5+ “thankfuls” every day in November (once after midnight ;))! It’s been a blessing to reflect on things that I so often take for granted.

For Week 4, some of my thankfuls were:

-God will be faithful – always!
-He is the Sustainer of all living!
-In His presence is FULLNESS of JOY!
-My Daddy (whose birthday was on Thanksgiving!)
-My Grandmom (whose 94th birthday was the day after Thanksgiving!)
-God’s strength is made perfect in weakness
      -Hymns and songs of praise!
-Jesus bearing my sins in His own body on the tree
-That I, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by His stripes I am healed! Hallelujah! (1 Peter 2:24)

Thank you again, my friend…and for everyone who has shared your lists! It’s been wonderful to join in giving thanks to our gracious Father in heaven together!

    3. THANK YOU SO MUCH for hosting this challenge, Amanda!!! It has been so wonderful! While I did 30 days’ worth of thankfuls, I actually forgot one day🙊 and had to catch up on the next day. So I’m not sure if that should technically count for fully writing down every day.😉

Here are some of my highlights from our grand finale week:

      • my nieces coming for a play day. It was a FULL day, but thankful we could do it together. 😊 Thankful we could make “spiced pecans” together – those little girlies stirred and stirred those ingredients for me. 🥰
      • a wonderful phone visit with a friend!
      • getting a huge pile of leaves from our neighbor (for mulch and compost material), and getting to visit with her daughter-in-law who is a missionary!
      • that God knows exactly what He is doing behind the scenes in our lives! Different examples recently, “small world” things, etc. show that He knows and He is able!
      • my family and getting to live with my parents and sister…making memories, sharing deep conversations, and shared experiences.💕
      • sleep and that He gave “His beloved sleep”!🙂 (Psalm 127:2) I’m thankful that rest – physical and spiritual – is a part of His design.
      • encouraging music that lifts our spirit and our gaze to Him. I was once again blessed by “You are Always Good” by the Hamilton Family.
      • the peace and stillness in God’s creation. It seems that recently there have been some moments of total stillness outside, which is rather special.
      • phone calls, texts, letters, emails, and the opportunities they give for sharing fellowship with sisters in Christ all around the country!♥
      • my Daddy!! (he celebrated his birthday on Thanksgiving!) For his diligent work; his heart for God and the way he leads his family in God’s Word; his sense of humor; his support and encouragement for his children and grandchildren; and the awesome ways that God has blessed him and worked in and through his life thus far!♥
      • my Grandmom! For her 94 years of life; the LOVE that she has poured into her family; her example of faithful marriage that she shared with Grandad for almost 70 years; her faith and the foundation that she has laid in God; her laugh; so many memories made together; her health; the multitude of quilts that she has made…so thankful to be her granddaughter and her namesake.😊
-the Body of Christ “at large” and that even if there’s hundreds of miles, or even countries between us, we’re one in Christ! Wow, what an awesome and beautiful mystery!
      • the awesome work of God (and His amazing Scriptures!) that even though we find sin, the curse, and the fall at the beginning of the Bible (Genesis 3), we find the VICTORY, freedom from the curse, and true Life with Him in Revelation 22! What an awesome and beautiful and powerful “end of the story” — which is yet only the Beginning!💕

I sure am thankful for you, ladies, and this opportunity that we’ve had to turn our eyes toward Him in gratitude together!

    7. I love reading everyone’s lists of Thankfuls from week to week. One night I couldn’t sleep, so I went to the blog and read through some Thankfuls posts from prior years! There is a cheerfulness and peace that comes through giving thanks. I did complete all the days of the challenge. Though I didn’t get all the verses committed to memory, I did write them out and want to continue to work on memorizing them.

For the final week of November, I recalled some extra-special blessings over the last year that the Lord gave. Here are some of them from my lists:

      • a visit from the Silvey family 🚐🥰
      • Spiritual growth in our family — by the end of December each of us will have read through the Bible this year
      • being a part of a ladies prayer group
      • medical technology — God is always the Healer, and sometimes He chooses to use medicines or medical devices to do so
      • participating in our first Spring100 walk
      • God’s help in memorizing several passages from His Word
      • the godly life of my brother-in-law Tim, and the assurance that he is with the Lord
      • that our home is a place of refuge, laughter, contentment 🏡
